Contract Manager
Contract Manager is a web-based application that automates the production and management of legal contracts and other common business agreements and documents.
The application addresses key items of key importance to contract development including:
- Contract drafting
- Contract repository
- Contract management
- Financial management
- Alerts, management reporting and audit records
- Security, backup and recovery
We designed our Contract Management system around a simple 5 step process:
- Qualification
A rule based system to establish which contract is appropriate for the specific circumstances.
- Drafting
A form based dialog to elicit variable content fields from the user and apply contract "rules" that determine optional clause inclusion or exclusion (drafting notes and support material can be associated with each stage of the drafting process).
- Production
The merging of variable content within a contract document template, publish and document download or system e-mail to the end-user functionality. Microsoft Word, PDF or HTML formatted documents supported.
- Management
A repository for all the saved variable content and rules, all contract documents and related resources are stored in the systems database for subsequent reporting, management and contract recreation if required.
- Reporting
Systematic reporting on contracts in an organised and efficient manner provides the flexibility to anticipate and renegotiate key contracts that are about to expire and plan for performance improvement.
Contract Manager - Snapshot
The Contract Manager includes a comprehensive contract drafting wizard which may be configured to cover multiple contracts types, formats and jurisdictions; a detailed contract register capable of managing many thousands of records; a full milestone reporting program including escalation to management if crucial dates are ignored and a range of supporting features to ensure control over contract risk.
The application’s features include:

- Contracts regeneration complete with all of the drafter’s input

Setup
Contract Manager is web-based and requires no end user software other than a web browser. Generating documents requires the user to have a copy of Microsoft Word installed on their PC. Some setup customisation is required for each client, e.g. client branding, loading of resources, ‘Wizard’ setup and administrator and user access etc. After set up the system is self-managed.
Contract Manager may be run ‘in-house’ if required.
Technologies
Microsoft Active Server Page (ASP) application with an Microsoft SQL Server database.
Document generation is performed on the user’s computer via Microsoft Word automation.
